What Brings You to Therapy?
Signing up for therapy is for intentional conversations that help you build a better connection with yourself…and navigate life in a way that resonates with you.
As a licensed clinical social worker I understand mental health struggles can feel bigger, harder, and more time-consuming during life transitions. I’m here to offer therapy that’s truly worth your time.
In short: If you’re not satisfied with where you are at – and you want to find a way out of your own cycle of bullshit reasons – you are in the right place.
As a woman in the field of science, I approach each patient through both a neuro-scientific and human behavioral lens.
To be honest I founded Cassidy Counseling & Consultation private practice to offer real life meaningful behavioral change in a simple, direct, non-pathologizing way with a conversational tone.
The purpose of therapy is not venting, gossip, and complaining of emotional upsets week-to-week. Although having someone to speak with to share what has happened over the previous week may decrease distressful feelings, it is a quick fix and not sustainable.
Together we will explore the inner world that makes you who you are, while geeking out on psycho-educational insights that explain the biological reasons your mind functions the way it does.
Hi there! I’m Siobhán Cassidy
Servicing California & New York
I am available in-real-life for 1-on-1 talk therapy for people in San Francisco, California (location: Bush St. and Octavia St.)
Kiddos are welcomed! My innate curiosity and bubbly personality is a knack for engaging children and teenagers. As well as developing conversational rapport with all patients. We are a team; in it together.
In addition to in-person services, virtual telehealth appointments for greater Californian and New Yorkers are offered and licensed.
What are you trying to achieve? Let’s find a way to help you get there with meaningful behaviroal change.
..relationships! And so is therapy.
The heart of psychotherapy is insight — developing a deeper understanding of yourself and how you move through the world.
The most important relationship you will ever have is the one you have with yourself. Therapy is a space to explore that relationship with curiosity and compassion: how you orient to your emotions, your relationships, your beliefs, and your lived experiences.
Why do you procrastinate on the big project until the final hour?
What keeps you scrolling long after you meant to put your phone down?
Why does that pint of ice cream or cold beer feel like the only exhale at the end of the day?
These behaviors aren’t random. They serve a function.
When we begin to understand the internal motivations driving your patterns — especially in relationships, work, and self-regulation — we uncover the roots beneath the surface. And insight at the root creates the possibility for meaningful, sustainable change.
Awareness is the foundation of behavioral transformation. When you understand yourself more clearly, you can relate differently — to others and to yourself.
Being a Human is All About…
Lost. Isolated. Burned out.
Firstly as a fellow human — I have experienced adversities, been lost-in-the-sauce of spiraling thoughts, isolated, and emotionally burned out.
Now as I am on the other side of that chapter I am dedicated to working with people to simplify life by knowing themselves — what drives their innate motivations to build a sense of life purpose. Because a purpose in your life is not just given; it is curated and built from meaningful attitude and purposeful attention.
I am glad that you are here.
Begin your journey today.
If you are curious now is the time to begin a mental health journey with a real life, licensed, professional therapist who intertwines humor, therapeutic practices, and bestie-vibes.
